The two cards I'm sharing today are pretty self-explanatory so I'll just show you the photos and list the ingredients. Thank you for popping by and biggest thank you to Sandie for this fun swap! I'll go and visit Sandie in June and I think I'm going to die cut at least 10 of these wonderful Concord & 9th butterflies... If she lets me! :)

Nonni's and Sandie's Kit, Sandie's Materials (Post 1)

Hello friends!
Sandie from London Days and I are back sharing cards we've made using same materials (combined with own stash of course). So fun and inspiring to swap materials! This is what Sandie included in her fantastic kit:

Stamped, die cut Happy Little Stampers butterfly
Heat Embossed, die cut Happy Little Stampers butterfly
Heat Embossed Uniko butterflies
Heat Embossed Uniko hummingbird
Die cut Concord and 9th butterfly

Die Cut fun foam sentiments by STAMPlorations and W+9
Stamped sentiments by the Ton

Faux-stitched die cut panels and frame by L'il Inker
Glitter cardstock
Different colored fun foam for die cutting

We are sharing two cards today and two cards on Friday.

Yellow Butterfly Card
From the Kit:
Stamped and die cut Happy Little Stampers butterfly (I colored it with Copics + added white ge pen and Wink of Stella)
Yellow, glittery fun foam (I used it for die cutting my sentiment)

Own Ingredients:
Die cut tag (Sugar Pea Designs)
STAMPlorations Smile-die
One enamel dot as embellishment
Card base

I'd like to enter my Yellow Butterfly card to:

I'm using the same framed tag die that I used in my GD card... Love this fun die! So happy to be guest designing at LIM, such an honor!

Thanks to Monika's suggestion, I'm also adding this to CUTplorations March challenge at STAMPlorations!

Then, my second card!

Pink Butterfly Card
From the kit:
Heat embossed, die cut Happy Little Stampers butterfly
Stamped Sentiment by The Ton

Own ingredients:
Distress inks for smooshing and watercoloring
Sequins
White and black card stock

Can't really say if I think this card looks fun and artsy or just simply messy... :) That's always with smooshing... You can't predict the outcome! However the sentiment made me want to make something really "crafty", hence the watercoloring (I think I'll stick with my Copics by the way, watercoloring is s-c-a-r-y...) and playing with inks. I chose girly pinks, I thought it suited the theme too! :)

I'd like to enter my Pink Butterfly card to:

Thanks for popping by and please come back on Friday to see more cards made with Sandie's kit!

Guest Designing at Less Is More

Hi friends!
Today I have the great honor of being guest designer at Less Is More. I'm chuffed about this because Less Is More is my favorite challenge blog (along with those blogs where I'm in DT of course!) and I try to enter their challenges always when I can! When I started card making and blogging my cards were less CAS and I was searching for my style -I didn't like those super frilly cards but didn't yet have eye for designing simpler cards either. Then I bumbed into challenges like Less Is More and started to find the clean and simple style inside of me! I just went through my old blog Runaway Cards and found my first entry to LIM from December 2012. :) The 2 last years have been rather hectic on work field and I haven't had much time for challenge cards but things have settled now and by today I have not missed one LIM challenge from the beginning of 2017! :)

Anyway, onto my card and this week's LIM challenge!

It's a recipe week and the recipe is Use a Frame. My first idea was to make a shaker card and after playing with some other options I went back and did the shaker. I used a fun tag die from Sugar Pea Designs that allows you to cut a window -this was perfect for making a framed shaker. I chose Easter stamps by PTI and Avocado Arts (unfortunately not an active company anymore), did some simple Copic coloring and put my card together using a bit of grey card and a die cut border for accent. The small, glittery and clear shaker bits and pieces have such pretty shine IRL and the yellow card I used shines as well so this card is very glittery! I'm sending this to my boyfriend's sister and his nieces, they are 3 year old twins -I hope they'll have sun shaking!

I'd like to thank Less Is More for inviting me to guest design. I hope you ladies understand what an influence your challenge blog has had for my card making!

Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational, a photo inspiration you see above. Do click the photo larger so you can see there's lots to be inspired by -you could choose a single item like I did (the key), just go with the color palette of the photo (did that too) or maybe that bunny inspires you to make an Easter card! All interpretations welcome! :)

Have a look what our DT has made for you HERE. I'm sure you'll get inspired!

As I already mentioned, I was inspired the key, the colors, and also the "messy feel" of the card -originally I had my die cut tag properly put together but then I thought about using the red inside card in an angle to mimic the "piled up look" in the photo. The sentiment is heat embossed with gold powder and comes from Verve Stamps. I was thinking this could be a new home-card!

TIME OUT Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
Our current challenge at TIME OUT is still running for about one week so plenty of time to play along! We are CASEing a wonderful card by Jenny (small photo above) and the DT is having some extra fun playing with Verve stamps! Play along and you could win a stamp set by Verve!

For my card I used Verve stamp set called New Beginnings. This set has not only cute flowers but several fabulous spring-themed sentiments -I've used them in many cards already and you'll be seeing me using them in many Easter cards in April... I can honestly say I LOVE this stamp set! Such pretty sentiments!

This is how I was inspired by Jenny's card:

-Houses changed into flowers but I'm mimicking the layout!
-Springtime feel
-Sponging of blue ink
-Using stitched border die and colored card base

I think it's fun I CASEd so many elements and still our cards look very different!

The flowers are colored in with Copics, winked, and I added some white gel pen too. This card is super simple! The red base card is dry embossed but the photo doesn't really show that -I was having such lighting issues yesterday when photographing cards... I'm so waiting for warmer daylight!

Thanks for popping by! Please head on over to our challenge blog to have a look what my DT friends have made. Our guest designer this time is a regular Time Out player and a fantastic, artistic CAS card maker: Izzy

Thank You Card for Challenges

Hi friends!
Several photos of today's card due to light issues.. The black card I used is truly black, not "worn out black" as it looks like in the photos of the whole card.

I' entering:

Less Is More: Washi

AAA Cards: Use Die Cuts

CAS on Sunday: Sentiment

I've made a sort of masculine card where I played with gold-black washi that has a distressed, foiled look -I think it was the shimmer from the foil that gave my little old pocket camera the hard time! The die cut sentiment comes from Taylored Expressions and it was a gift from my wonderful Time Out DT friend Jill. If you don't know her blog My Life In Paper you are in for a treat when you go ahead and click HERE! Thank you Jill for this awesome die!

The card is very dimensional -I've popped up the black panel with fun foam and there's 4 layers in the die cut sentiment. My first time using Stick It adhesive by the way -how did I ever survive without?!? What a product! I'm never stacking dies without this baby again!

I hope you like my card and thanks for popping by.

Waiting for Spring

Click larger for closer look of details and shine!

Hi friends!
I'm here today sharing a quick CAS one layer with you. Well, quick and quick... This was one of those cards that started somewhere and ended in a result nothing close to the first version -even the stamps are different! My primary inspiration comes from this week's Less Is More: One Layer with the theme of leaves. I own several leaf-stamps but none of them quite spoke to me this weekend. The reason for me not liking my leaf stamps right now is probably how I've used them previously -almost exclusively for fall... And I was in no mood for a fall card! Finally I found a super duper old tree and leaves- themed stamp set by Gel a Tins, a stamp company no longer existing if I'm right. I think the stamps looked great paired with a spring-themed Verve sentiment stamp and voila, a card design (that felt currant!) was finally ready!

This is a very simple card with basic masking for the snow bank and just plain stamping for sentiment and images. I used 3 different green inks for leaves and also winked the leaves in the end for shine. You'll see the shine better if you click the photo larger.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Looking for crafty fun? Do join our latest Inkspirational Challenge:

Our guest designer this time is the very creative Henriette. Don't miss her card or any projects by the DT, click HERE!

I had just received this fab stitched winter scene die by STAMPlorations and decided I'd like to smoosh a sky for my card. I found a piece of special paper in my scraps box -I'll call it "fiber paper", it's sort of thick paper that has a natural feel to it, there's fibers under the surface of the paper and the paper has quite a lot of texture. The texture of the paper was really good for smooshing and it handled water very well -I hope I some day find more of this paper, no idea what it is or why I've had it! :) In addition to smoothing the sky I simply cut the die cut scene + heat embossed the sentiment, framed the whole thing and used a card base I had covered with grey paper.

With my card I'd like to join:

CASology: Landmark (trees + building can be landmarks can't they!)

Edited... Also adding this to CAS Mix Up March after checking my card qualifies! Thanks Loll :) And happy birthday CAS Mix Up, this challenge is a very fun and unique one, if you haven't played along before, check it out!

I used: stamping, smooching, die cutting, heat embossing

TIME OUT Challenge Reminder

Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you of the fabulous birthday party we are celebrating at TIME OUT: We are turning 3 and are partying big time! We have 6 prizes for grabs from wonderful sponsors. Don't miss any of the fun, click HERE for all the details for what you could win and how! The theme of the challenge is

Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of 'spotlight stamping' where you add colour only to one raised area of your image

As you can see, I opted to twist! I die cut a Pretty Pink Posh storybook die from white card and stamped a Paper Smooches flower stamp on it with black Memento ink. I colored all the areas of the stamp that where on the "tall window" of the storybook die and left other areas uncolored. In my final card I've raised the colored area up with fun foam and added a heat embossed sentiment. The card base is covered with polka dot patterned paper. My only embellishment is a yellow enamel dot. I think this turned out pretty fun!

Mainly Teal Spring Card

Hi friends!

Here's a card I made for a couple of challenges:

Less Is More: Mainly Teal

Seven Hills Crafts: March Challenge, Tic Tac Toe
(patterned paper, pastel shades, die cutting)

The Flower Challenge Anything Goes

I wanted to use a couple of shades of teal, not just one, and was happy to find some patterned paper that tied up my colors pretty nicely. I was surprised how lovely teal looks with white! I think I've never made a card in these colors. I've heat embossed, sponged and then die cut Altenew Hennah Elements flower stamps and combined them with Stamping Up die cut leaves. The heat embossed sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

I accidentally used the sketch from the previous Less Is More Challenge which I think I entered twice... Only the sentiment is slightly in a different place. I think the sketch got stuck in my head! But what can you say... It's a good layout! :)

Thanks for popping by!

March Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers!

Hi friends!
I have great news for you today! In addition of being a proud member of Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge team, I'm now joining the HLS Christmas Challenge team as well! Woo hoo! Thank you Kylie for this opportunity to get a head start with my Christmas cards this year!

The optional twist for March challenge is "stars". I had just discovered I had an embossed panel with stars in my stash so I naturally had to use it! I was inspired by the color palette at Sunday Stamps again, really love this palette. This time I used only the 3 middle colors. The blue card I used for my larger fishtail banner is more muted IRL, it looks rather bright in the photo!

My Penny Black sentiment is heat embossed with white powder and I also used MFT stitched fishtail banner dies, die cut snowflakes and clear drops in creating this card. The snowflakes are from my stash, origin unknown! :) Quite fun that so many crafty gifts from friends found their way to the same card.

Along with Sunday Stamps I'd like to enter:

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Let's Do Lunch

Hi friends!
I'm here to share a quick CAS card I made for the current CASology (Crunch) in mind. This was a tough cue word for me and I had to turn to Google for synonyms and words related to crunch... And this led me to "bite". I remembered these fun cutlery stamps from PTI and a sentiment from STAMPlorations that would match the cutlery more than nicely! I missed the previous CASology, Score, and wanted to add score lines to this card using my new Scor-Buddy (a prize from Darnell's NBUS challenges!)... But now when I look at my card it looks a bit busy for a CAS design. I however love the score lines so let's decide they look good! ;) I also don't know if anyone has ever seen winked, glittery, wooden cutlery but that's what I have for you. Lol. :)

Thanks for popping by!
