New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new, inspiring word prompt for you at Inkspirational: Dip! The DT has come up with some pretty amazing ideas for this so do check out their cards!

I went with " paint dipped" paintbrushes from PTI. I made a fast and simple ink smooshed (or whatever it's called!) background with DI:s, plastic and water and then stamped the PTI images and the sentiment from STAMPlorations. Hope you like and I hope to see you at Inkspirational

I chose my color palette from ColourQ:

Aloha!

Hi friends!
I have a card for you today that I absolutely loved making and that's great because this My Favorite Things Polynesian Paradise set has not seen ink often enough in my house! Now I feel like making lots of more cards with this. I love the way this card turned out. So cheerful and summery. I hope you like it too! I got the idea for layout after seeing this card here through Pinterest. Thank you Yoonsun for the inspiration!

All my coloring is done with Copics. I've also used "the scraps" from a storybook die my friend Marina cut for me with her Silhouette. Apart from stamping and coloring there really isn't anything else in the card so let's go straight to the challenges I'm entering:

Thanks Marina for inspiring me to enter!

Seven Hills Crafts Blog: July Color Challenge
(I used the second board for the reds, greens and beige that I have in my smaller flowers) And I have a fruit too. :)

Thanks for popping by! If you find the time to comment, I'll try to return the favor! :)

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT: a fab photo inspiration you see above! Many possibilities how to be inspired here, right? :) Please head on over to the challenge blog for all the challenge details and while there, have a look how our talented GD Stephanie along with our regular DT members have interpreted the photo!

My card is a very simple CAS card with stamping only, no embellies even... I know. I suck at adding any bits and bobs. :) Someone should take over my CAS cards and add sequins, enamel dots and other fun stuff to them! The paint brush stamp comes from STAMPlorations and the bold sentiment is  from a sentiment stamp set my good friend Sandie has given to me. MISTI is soooooo helpful in stamping bold sentiments like this -the ink coverage you get with multiple stampings looks amazing! Hope you like and see you at TIME OUT!

Paper Smooches August GD Search Card #2

Hi guys!
Here's my second entry to Paper Smooches August Guest Designer Search. I've used a fun, fun set called Woofers and Tweeters and created a little "gift giving scene" with a storybook die my friend Marina cut for me with her Silhouette.  I also have to thank Milla for the beautiful sentiment die cuts!

All the coloring is done with Copics, also for the sentiment die cut. Love the way that turned out! In addition to the stamps, storybook and sentiment dies I've also used patterned paper, SSS curved edges dies + a grass die (manufacturer forgotten, maybe Marianne Designs, maybe not!) + a tiny bow die that once came with a crafting magazine. This miniature die is really one of my faves, I use it very often! The sky is sponged with light blue ink and I've added texture to it with a Prima background stamp -maybe if you enlarge the photo, you'll see it better.

I've used the Woofers and Tweeters set before also and below is my favorite card I've made with it -well, this far -I think today's card is my new favorite!  Click here for the info of the card below with mirror stamping.

Thanks for popping by and good luck to us all applying as GD for Paper Smooches!

Paper Smooches August Guest Designer Search

Hi guys!
Paper Smooches is searching for a guest designer for the month of August (click here for details) and I thought I want to give it a try. Above is the new card I made for the competition and below are two older cards I've made with this same stamp set. Below the pics you'll find links to the original blog posts. I absolutely love this happy flower set, the images are so fun to color in and it's easy to create different card layouts with them.

Click here for details of the Blossoming Buds stamp set I used.

In my new card I've used both flower clusters of this stamp set. The bigger one is die cut and colored in with Copics and the smaller one is used in creating the background strip. I masked the strip, applied 3 shades of inks and then stamped the outline flowers with the same ink colors for subtle look. I attached the flower panel to a black card base that I had dry embossed with a "zebra" embossing folder. The same folder is actually used in the card base of the pink card below.

Hope you like and thank you Paper Smooches people for checking out my cards and for this opportunity to apply to be a guest designer!

The original post with the pink card is here .

Card Kit Swap #2 Seaside Stories

Hi friends!
Maybe you remember my first card kit swap post from 15th of June? My 2nd post was due 15th of July which I've been thinking is Saturday this week... So that's why I'm posting today and my card kit swap friends Pia and Marina already posted yesterday... Which was 15th for real. Oooops. Better late than never I guess. Sorry Pia and Marina! I hope you'll go and have a look a their cards in their blogs.

The "Seaside Stories"-kit was sent by Marina and it contained wonderful maritime-themed patterned papers, summery stamped images and fun die cuts. There was also some buttons and twine as accessories. Well you all know how bad I am at adding bits and pieces to my cards but I did manage to use the twine! :) Marina knew I had wanted to try storybook dies so I was super happy she made those with her Silhouette. I have one left over from the kit and I'm sure I'll make a fun story with that using some of my critter stamps -this time I wanted to stick with crafty stash from the kit. We have agreed one can use own supplies as much as she wants but for me it's fun to play with limited stash. Less options, easier choices! :)

Card 1) Wheel-die cuts
I colored the die cuts with Copics, added red card and Wink of Stella to the centers of the dies and stamped a sentiment from CASual Fridays to the white, textured panel. I used red card base. LOVE how this turned out! I'd like to enter this card to Share Joy Challenge: Clean and Simple

Card 2) Storybook-die, patterned paper + swimmer lady
I colored the storybook-frame and the swimmer lady with Copics and used the storybook-die in a very simple way. I added Wink of Stella and white gel pen to embellish the images.

Card 3) Patterned paper + anchor die cuts
I colored the anchor die cuts with Copics and added red card + Wink of Stella in the same way that in the wheel die cuts. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp. This turned out fun too I think!

Card 4) Stamped, die cut sailboat + twine
My final card is another CAS card. The sailboat is colored in with Copics and I used white gel pen for accenting. I used a curved SSS die for the blue panel. The sentiment is by Avocado Arts. And twine! Yay, I used embellies! :)

Thanks for popping by and thank you Marina for this amazing kit.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi everyone!
We have a new challenge, a fun photo inspiration for you at Inspirational

I remembered I have a stamp that very well works for this challenge -it's actually a Christmas stamp but I left out the "Christmassy portion" of the stamp and just used part of the image for my die cut tag. I added the patterned paper strip because it had an elegant feel and I thought this wedding cake is as elegant as it gets! :) A very simple CAS card... Hope you like!

Our guest designer this time is talented Jane. Play along and you could get to guest design for us too! Don't miss the fab cards from our regular DT members either -click here for all the inspiration and challenge details. Happy crafting!

I'd like to enter my card to the current Addicted to CAS: stripes. I think the strips I added behind the tag make it pop quite nicely. There's also some stripes in the actual stamped image! :)

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi guys!
Here's my DT card for the new TIME OUT challenge Inspired by Words

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine"
Anthony J. D'Angelo

I really love this quote, so many possibilities for your card... You can use just some words or the whole sentiment as your starting point.

I made a card with my boyfriend in my mind. :) The Stampendous flowers are colored in with Zigs on marker paper, no water used this time. I fussy cut them out and adhered them with 3d stickers to the card base -there's quite a lot of dimension in this card although it doesn't show super well in the photo. Maybe if you click on the pic and enlarge it you'll get a better sense of it! The sentiment comes from CASual Fridays, simply heat embossed on black card with white powder. Hope you like!

Our guest designer this time is Sue (Foleysfriend) . Her blog is filled with beautiful CAS cards and if you  are not familiar with her work yet, don't hesitate to pay her a visit right away! Please head on over to TIME OUT Challenges and have a look what Sue and our regular DT members have created for your inspiration! Happy crafting!
